Dear Mother Ghana,
The Psalmist declares, "The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein." Yet, there are men and women whom the Lord Himself has raised for this world and the countries therein, just like the shepherd's rod, to lead, instruct and guide the nations to the very truth, peace, freedom, justice and liberty ordained for all who seek and cherish them.
The venerable founders of Ghana led by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah were no exception to the Creator's call and ordination for pursuit of this right of Truth, Peace, Justice, and Liberty for this nation and all of humanity, according to our determination to uphold them.
On this 4th day of August, we join all and sundry to commemorate our Founders’ Day, a day dedicated to remembering these men and women whose vision, courage, sacrifice, and determination contributed to and shaped the struggle for our independence and the building of our nation.
This occasion reminds us that nation-building is not the responsibility of one generation alone. The foundations laid by those before us place a responsibility upon our generation to strengthen our institutions, uphold integrity, promote innovation, develop our human capital, and create opportunities for generations yet unborn.
At Gadol Sunetos, we believe that meaningful progress requires more than ambition. It requires growth, adaptability, discipline, ownership, and leadership, values that enable individuals, businesses, institutions, and communities to overcome barriers and create sustainable impact.
As we commemorate this day, let us honour the sacrifices of our forebears not merely by remembering their contribution, but by asking ourselves what contribution we are making to the Ghana we want to leave behind.
May we build with purpose.
May we lead with integrity.
May we innovate with courage.
May we serve with responsibility.
